After about 12 hours of work I’ve accomplished this:

It was sketched and shaded on Mypaint, painted and composited on Gimp and color corrected on Blender. Comments are always very appreciated

By request of some folks at blender-pt.com I made a speed modeling video of an “Cactuar”, a character from FINAL FANTASY 6 video game by former Squaresoft, now Square-Enix company.

On this video you can easily see the importance of having a good topology and how to fix it from a lousy one, all under one hour. It was speedup for entertainment convenience. Only for didactic purposes.

A small compositing exercise that I made today. It was intended to study how much things you need to add on an image to make it look and feel right. Too less just doesn’t seem to cut it and too much tends to be too much distracting. I think this is more or less ok… fell free to correct me if you disagree

This is a tiny sample of the more then 100 passes that took to make this image (sorry the lousy .gif quality)

All of this was composed/painted in Gimp and final color correct was made in blender.

GAME CAPSULE is a open video-game console project.

The name comes from the Portuguese “Consola Aberta Portuguesa de Simples Uso e Livre Emérito” which translates to something close to “Portuguese open console of simple use and free emeritus” which is the same thing to say, it’s a powerful open platform with simple coding,  so if you want to make good games just get busy, it all depends of you.

8 Gb Ram;
GPU NVIDIA;
16 Gb FLASH hard drive;
Wireless both way communication (wi-fi and Bluetooth);
A Silent cooling system (no fans);
All under LINUX

Project Topsecret was a Acclaim project intended to be the very first 100% community developed video game.

Don’t tell me you didn’t heard anything about it!? …That’s perfectly natural because it failed and was definitely terminated on September 2009.

Anyway, here it is all I’ve done, fell free to use it as you wish… it’s also yours now. It’s free of any known restrictions.

The file contains a “Niby” mount, a rider with two customs and a unfinished Anterra  girl.

Just a little tribute to the Lifeguards to try to improve my painting skills.

It’s mostly done with Mypaint, but has some additional composition and colour correction done in Gimp and Blender.
